Frequently asked

What is a property auction (lelong) in Malaysia?

A lelong is a court- or bank-ordered auction of a property, usually after loan default. Reserve prices are often set below open-market value, so auctions can offer genuine discounts — but buyers must handle outstanding charges and vacant possession themselves.

Where do these auction listings come from?

Listings come from e-Lelong, the official auction portal of the High Court of Malaya, so each one carries the court, case number, reserve price and chargee bank as published. e-Lelong covers peninsular Malaysia plus KL and Putrajaya; Sabah and Sarawak run a separate court system and are not included.
